I think things were better when Christians in this part of the world believed it was wrong to drink alcohol.

Most Baptist churches around here even had a covenant posted on the wall that said;

“We engage…to abstain from the sale of, and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage;”

I see Christians today rejoicing when a bar or brewery opens in the neighborhood.

In the past, Christians prayed that they would go out of business.

{I guess our forefathers were unsophisticated legalists}

I wonder how many “baptists” were hung over this NYE Sunday morning?

Roloff said “every nation that ever died, died drunk”

The United States of America is dying…and it is dying drunk. 

I recently picked up this pamphlet at the West Virginia DMV.

It seems the DMV may be wiser than a lot of Baptist preachers.

If you never touch the stuff you’d be better off.
